Gadget Release

gadget release

The term gadget refers to the highly diverse modern electronic devices and machines that have entered our life for specific purposes. These include hardware devices that are designed and built in order to make various tasks easier and more convenient, or software apps that reside on desktops to offer a range of functionalities to enhance productivity.

Unlike the traditional software apps and plugins, which are generally small applications that run inside a browser window, Gadget Actions are designed to run across the entire platform and provide a more unified approach to your workflow. This means that you can have your Actions work in all modes and in all contexts (from a single record to many records) as part of your overall workflow.

A detailed description of GADGET’s compilation and usage is contained in the User’s Guide that accompanies this code distribution. The code is also documented in a separate HTML-subdirectory, and in the cross-referenced Gadget Tutorial.

Gadget supports the running of cosmological N-body/SPH simulations on massively parallel computers with distributed memory using an explicit communication model implemented via standardized MPI. It is therefore suitable for use on a variety of supercomputer systems presently in use.

The Gadget website includes discussion forums or communities in which you may post content, messages or materials (“User Content”). Gadget has no obligation to monitor User Content and does not control the content of such posts. However, in the event that Gadget becomes aware of any material in violation of its terms and conditions, it reserves the right to remove such content without notice. Moreover, you acknowledge and agree that any Purchases through the Services shall be subject to the terms of a license agreement between you and Gadget, including but not limited to the payment of fees therefor.
