World of Warcraft – The Trial Update

Trial Update is a huge update filled with new mobs, blocks and weapons. It also introduces new high-stakes combat challenges called ominous trials. These opt-in challenges make everything much harder, and offer rich rewards for players that can conquer them.

This update also introduces a new weapon, the mace. This weapon is a slow-attacking melee sword that can be crafted from a Breeze Rod (dropped by breezes) and a Heavy Core (found in ominous vaults). The mace has three unique enchantments that can increase its damage based on the height from which it is thrown.

To make this update even more epic, this update includes the trial chambers — sprawling structures stuffed with traps and tricky combat challenges. Trial spawners can spawn one of several different types of mobs, including the mischievous breeze, which shoots wind charges that knock players back. They can also spawn silverfish, baby zombies, husks, cave spiders and slimes.

Each trial spawner has a cap on the number of mobs that it can summon at once, and the difficulty scales with the amount of players in the area. In addition to the new chambers, this update adds new decorative blocks, hostile mobs, items and weapons, a redesigned crafting table, and twenty-one new paintings — including five by Mojang Studio game artist Sarah Boeving and 15 by Kristoffer Zetterstand.
